High School Wrestling Class
Intermediate - Advanced Wrestlers
Serious wrestlers are built in the off-season. MatTime's High School off season program is designed for high school wrestlers and incoming 8th graders who want to continue developing after the season ends and enter the next year stronger, sharper, and more prepared to compete.
From April through October, athletes will focus on refining technique, building wrestling IQ, and maintaining the level of intensity required to succeed at the high school level and beyond. Sessions emphasize positional wrestling, match strategy, chain wrestling, and situational awareness — the details that separate good wrestlers from great ones.
Training is structured to be focused and efficient: high-level instruction, high-intensity drilling, live wrestling, and purposeful time on the mat. The goal is simple — help serious wrestlers improve consistently throughout the off-season while avoiding burnout.
In today's competitive landscape, wrestlers who stay on the mat year-round have a clear advantage when the season begins.
Coaching
The program is led by MatTime Head Wrestling Coach Adrian Garcia, former Division I wrestler at UC Davis, NCAA Qualifier, and 2022 Masters Freestyle National Champion. Coach Garcia brings high-level technical knowledge, competitive experience, and a structured training environment that challenges wrestlers to improve every session.
