MatTime opened its doors to the public in the summer of 2016. Based in Penryn, CA and proudly serving Loomis, Newcastle, Rocklin, Roseville, Granite Bay, Auburn, Lincoln and the greater Placer County area, our plan is to help build the Sacramento region into a Wrestling and no-Gi Jiu Jitsu powerhouse in California.

MatTime looks to better all wrestlers in the area and will build fundamentally strong wrestlers that will be able to succeed in high school wrestling. MatTime is not tied to any one high school program, rather we plan to seed different high schools in the area and better Placer County as a whole.

In the last few years we've sent wrestlers to Whitney High School in Rocklin, Lincoln High School, Twelve Bridges H.S., Granite Bay H.S., Placer H.S., Rocklin High, and Del Oro. Through our Kids and Junior wrestling programs we intend to build not only good wrestlers but well grounded and respectful athletes.

At MatTime, we believe in raising kids without a silver spoon and getting back to an older, disciplined work ethic to raise our kids by. MatTime is a place where kids (and adults) get to put down their devices, games and phones and make their bodies and minds stronger in a challenging environment while learning to respect others.

Though the roots of MatTime are in wrestling, we have tremendous respect for no-Gi Jiu Jitsu and we believe that - when fused correctly - both wrestlers and grapplers (and Judokas) can better their game by learning from the other.
