Development Wrestling Team
Build stronger technique, confidence and competitive readiness
MatTime’s Development Team is for wrestlers ready to move beyond the beginner room and begin training with greater technical detail, consistency and purpose.
Athletes receive focused coaching, quality practice partners and structured training designed to improve the positions that matter most in competition. Practices combine high-repetition drilling, situational wrestling and controlled live wrestling so athletes learn how to apply technique under pressure.
This team generally serves wrestlers ages 8–13, including developing middle-school and junior-high athletes. Placement is based on age, experience and wrestling readiness.

Built for Real Development
Wrestling improvement requires consistency. We do not restart at the beginning during every practice. Athletes build on MatTime’s core positions and systems over the course of the season, developing stronger technique, discipline and mat awareness.
School Wrestlers Are Welcome
Wrestlers may participate with their middle-school or junior-high team while also training with MatTime. Our club environment provides additional coaching, strong practice partners and opportunities to compete beyond the school schedule. Contact us if you need help coordinating the two programs.
A Good Fit for This Team
The Development Team is appropriate for wrestlers who are coachable, willing to work and ready for more structured training. Athletes who are not yet ready for the Advanced / Competitive room can continue progressing here without being rushed.
