Welcome to MatTime's Official Kids Wrestling program. Our Developmental Wrestling Team is for aspiring young wrestlers ages 8-10+ years. MatTime has established itself as a top wrestling program in Northern California and has helped to grow wrestling in the Sacramento area.

The Developmental Team season will run from November through the middle of March and culminate at the Folkstyle State Championships wrestling tournament. Stay tuned for more info as we'll release a tournament schedule that we will be attending as a Team.

Should you choose to have your wrestler compete this will also introduce you to the world of tournament wrestling. If you've never been to a wrestling event, you'll experience a new and unique energy and intensity that comes with a tournament environment.

Our Philosophy

MatTime will remain a safe haven for kids. MatTime was not built out of fear, it will not be ruled by fear and it will not be shut down by fear. Our kids are healthy and it is incredibly important that we raise them to be Good, Strong Kids.

In raising kids within combat sports like Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu, we are teaching them to be comfortable in chaos, and not to be ruled by natural human fears that come from physical confrontation. Combat sports can teach kids to stand up and face their fears directly.
