Coach-Guided Placement
Already training Jiu Jitsu? Your grappling experience may provide a useful foundation for wrestling. Contact us so we can help determine the appropriate group before your first practice. You can continue training at your current Jiu Jitsu academy.
Pre-season training and November team enrollment are separate steps. Pre-season is an opportunity to prepare and explore fit; it does not guarantee team placement.
Ask About PlacementMiddle School Wrestling Development. Pre-Season Training.
The Middle School Wrestling Development program at MatTime is designed for athletes who want to continue progressing beyond the basics—whether they're preparing for the next wrestling season, transitioning from another sport, or looking for a stronger competitive environment.
This is where committed wrestlers separate themselves.
Built for Real Development
Wrestling is a sport where progress comes from consistency. Long breaks often mean starting over.
Our Middle School Wrestling Development program is built to solve that—giving athletes a way to stay sharp, improve technically, and continue building confidence even during the off-season.
For multi-sport athletes, this program works. Many of our wrestlers attend 1–2 days per week while playing other sports and still make significant gains.
What Makes This Program Different
This isn't a beginner class, and it's not a casual drop-in.
It's a structured training environment focused on:
We don't restart every class. We build.
Who This Program Is For
The Middle School Wrestling Development program is designed for:
This program can help families and coaches evaluate a possible future MatTime Team fit. Pre-season and November team enrollment are separate steps, and placement is not automatic.
We're always looking for athletes who are coachable, disciplined, and a strong fit for our culture.
Training Environment
Athletes in this program train alongside others who are serious about improving.
The expectation is simple: show up ready to work, learn, and get better.
At MatTime, we emphasize long-term development over short-term results. The goal is not just to win now—but to build wrestlers who are prepared to compete at higher levels over time.
