Tyler was born with Spina Bifida but he's never looked back and has already achieved more than most men achieve in a lifetime. Tyler has a Associates degree in Advanced Personal Training and Exercise Science from Bryan College and is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist. What brings his training to life is that Tyler has been grappling for over a decade both in wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Training under World Champion Cassio Werneck, Tyler recently achieved a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and brings a unique set of grappling skills to MatTime. Fusing his knowledge and experience with grappling, Tyler brings a dynamic element to his sports specific training in that he understands wrestling and ensures that kids will be strengthening themselves in areas that are most needed.
Beyond his accomplishments in grappling, Tyler is also a 2010 Paralympic powerlifting World Team member and a 2011 Paralympic powerlifting Pan American Team member. Most recently Tyler was a 2015 NPC Mens Novice and Lightweight Wheelchair National Champion.« Back
