REGISTRATION ONGOING: What started as a seasonal class at MatTime has grown into something bigger. Because of the interest from parents — and the growth of youth wrestling in our area — Little Kids Wrestling is now an ongoing program.
If you’re going to introduce your child to wrestling, this is the right age to start.
Wrestling is one of the most demanding and competitive sports in the world. The earlier kids learn balance, body control, coordination, and mat awareness, the more confident and capable they’ll become as they grow. Our goal is to build a strong foundation now — without burning them out.
This class is challenging. It’s structured. It builds discipline.
But it’s also fun.
We teach real Folkstyle Wrestling in an age-appropriate way that keeps kids engaged while developing the fundamentals they’ll need down the road.
A few notes:
Classes will run from 3:00-3:45pm. As long as we have the numbers we'll be running this as a monthly class.
The goal for this class is to keep their skills sharp and improve during the off-season. We look forward to seeing familiar faces including some new ones! Feel free to call 916.778.0128 for more information.

This isn’t chaos on a mat. It’s structured learning tailored to 5–7 year olds.
We focus on:
We keep practices short (45 minutes), focused, and high-energy. Kids leave tired — but feeling good.
Wrestling builds:
At MatTime, kids put down the devices and step into a room where effort matters. They learn how to work hard, listen, compete, and shake hands afterward.
We’re building more than wrestlers.
We’re building tough, respectful, grounded young athletes.
We Build Good, Strong Kids.
